Grab your instrument and head over to Montgomery Distillery for an open old time jam to help us get the 3rd Annual Missoula Old Time Social started! All levels of experience welcome. Hosted by Missoula locals and members of Lake Missoula Old Time.

family friendly concert

Top Hat bar & Restaurant

Join us for a family-friendly concert at the Top Hat featuring visiting artist, Squirrel Butter. This concert coincides with the Top Hat’s Family Friendly Friday programming, so kids are, of course, welcome! The Top Hat serves up fresh, local food and has a full bar, so come for the whole evening and tap your foot along to some great old time music.

workshops

Downtown dance collective & The Loft

Join us for an afternoon of workshops for old time fiddle, banjo, and guitar, as well as yodeling, clogging, square dance calling, and harmony singing. Offerings vary from year-to year. Workshops are led by local musicians and callers, as well as by our visiting artists. These hour-long workshops run from noon all the way until 5:00 p.m., with jamming happening concurrently in the halls and alleyways.

community square dance & Cakewalk

The Governor’s ballroom, Florence Building

Join us Saturday evening for Missoula’s biggest square dance. Promenade, allemande, do-si-do, and swing your way through the evening. Never heard these terms before? Not to worry! With square dancing, no experience is necessary and no partner needed. All ages are welcome. The caller will teach you everything you need to know. Drinks available for purchase.
