For friends of old time music and LMOT, please join us for a fun weekend of camping and jamming in beautiful Rock Creek!
Location & Directions: Take the Rock Creek exit 25 miles east of Missoula. Travel 21 miles (11 miles on pavement and 10 miles on dirt - often slow going!). Send us an email (missoulaoldtime@gmail.com) and we will get back to you with detailed directions!
Camping & cabin: John’s Cabin is our central gathering place. The cabin is off-grid, but has solar power plus a backup generator, a well and gravity-feed water system, propane appliances, a septic system, a bathroom, an outhouse, and a shower. Folks can bring tents, camping vehicles, etc. John’s cabin and property can provide access to bathrooms and water, and if needed, can can also cover basic first aid needs.
There are plenty of flat camping spots across the property. Trailers can be brought (the bridge width is 8’6”), but there are no hook-ups. We have a big fire pit and an outdoor barbecue. Bring your own food, supplies, and instruments :-)
Activities: When you aren’t playing music or sleeping and want to do something else, there is blue-ribbon fly fishing out the front door and hiking out the back door. There are also hiking and biking trails not too far away.
Communication: There is no phone reception. My neighbors have satellite connections for emergencies. Eight miles down the road is the first cell spot.
